There is a short list of reasons people look into straightening. Read down it and see whether any of it sounds familiar. Nothing here is a diagnosis; it only means the question is worth asking.

Crooked or misaligned teeth are the ordinary reason people start looking into straightening. Whether they can be moved, and by what, is a separate question from whether they bother you.

Where teeth overlap, some surfaces are harder to reach with a brush or floss. Straightening them makes those surfaces easier to clean. That is a fair reason to look into it, but it is not a promise about decay or gum disease.

Spacing is the opposite problem to crowding, and closing it is one of the things tooth movement is used for.

How the upper and lower teeth come together is the bite. Where the bite is part of the picture, it changes what kind of appliance is suitable, and that is an in-person judgement.

Teeth can move again after earlier treatment. What that would take to correct depends on how far they have moved and on the state of the teeth and gums now.
The Options
Two general ways of moving teeth. Which of them a case calls for depends on the teeth, the bite, the gums and the bone holding them, none of which can be assessed from a web page.
Thin, clear, removable trays made to sit over the teeth and put gentle pressure on them. They are taken out to eat and to clean the teeth. Being clear, they are less noticeable than fixed braces, which is the usual reason people ask about them in the first place. Invisalign is one brand of clear aligner. Small brackets bonded to the teeth and joined by a wire, adjusted over time. They are not removable, so wearing them is not left to the patient to remember. This is the older approach and it is still in use, partly because certain tooth movements are harder to achieve with something that comes out.
That is the honest limit of what a page can tell you. The choice turns on what your teeth are actually doing, and it is made after someone has looked at them, which is what the consultation is for.
